Nepalese police arrest a Tibetan protesting against a visiting Chinese delegation in Kathmandu on September 2, 2009. The 17-member Chinese delegation includes politburo and central committee members of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Ten Tibetans, all male, were arrested by around 40 baton-wielding riot police as they slanted slogans like “Long Live Free Tibet” and “Down with Chinese Hegemony”. Nepal is home to around 20,000 exiled Tibetans who began arriving in large numbers in 1959 when the Dalai Lama fled Tibet after a failed uprising. The government in Kathmandu has come under increasing pressure from Beijing to suppress anti-China activity on its soil.  AFP PHOTO/ Prakash MATHEMA (Photo credit should read PRAKASH MATHEMA/AFP/Getty Images)
